Letter from the Superintendent
In light of the recent decision to remove Mr. Brandon Cosby as principal of Shortridge Magnet High School for Law and Public Policy, and the outcry by the students, parents, and members of the local community, the Board and alumni received the attached letter from Dr. Eugene White, IPS Superintendent. Letter
Inasmuch as Mr. Cosby has elected to appeal his termination, the Board choses to withhold any comments in regards to an IPS personnel decision. The letter is self-explanatory and mirrors comments previously made by various media sources.
As many of you were privileged to meet and/or speak with Mr. Cosby, we all know the level of passion that he had for the students and the school; however, as alumni we must be willing to accept change if it will enhance the future success of the students and the school.
When a final decision is determined, the alumni of Shortridge will be notified. ~Editor of NewsBriefs |
