Year-end donations
The 2011 tax year is coming to an end...now is time to consider your tax deductible donations. Kindly consider the Shortridge Alumni Association (SAA) as a recipient of your generosity, especially since we now are classified as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. There are several opportunities you might consider:
a. Founding Members Legacy Guild - directly benefits our Shortridge Legacy Scholarship Fund.
b. SAAB - (Shortridge Alumni Athletic Boosters) - directly supports the athletic department
c. Moot courtroom
d. Daily Echo and Media Center
e. Miscellaneous - student involvement activities.

Shortridge Athletic Department - 2011 & 2012

Student Athlete Academic Success: Mr. Papesh announces that at end of the first nine weeks' grading period, the Shortridge girls volleyball team had an overall 3.38 GPA and girls golf team an overall 3.45 GPA, the highest GPA in their respective sports of any other IPS volleyball or golf teams. CONGRATULATIONS, ladies! These student athletes are performing successfully in the classroom as well within their respective sports.

CALLING ALL MEMBERS OF THE BASKETBALL TEAMS FROM THE LATE 1950s who were teammates of William "Bo" Crain and George Pillow (1968). We encourage and invite all of "Bo's" former teammates to attend the basketball game on December 10 as his jersey number is retired. Also the 1968 team will be honored. Please contact AD, Stephen Papesh as soon as possible if you will attend. A light reception will follow after the game. If you know where any of these former athletes are, let them know or ask them to contact Mr. Papesh ASAP.

* Season ticket offer: If alumni wish to attend ANY game hosted by an IPS school, this is the real deal and Shortridge can benefit. Thirty dollars ($30) will buy an all-year season pass to any IPS game -- football, basketball, baseball, track -- hosted by an IPS school. AND for every season pass purchased from Shortridge, the school receives $20. (There is no restriction that it applies only to Shortridge sports ... any IPS school sport.) If you are interested in purchasing a season ticket, contact Stephen Papesh, athletic director.
