Brenda Behr
North Carolina Meets French Impressionism Brenda Behr is no stranger to oil painting. Her dad gifted Brenda her first set of oils and private painting lessons when she was just ten years old. Behr is also no stranger to plein air painting. Having taken her first plein air workshop in 1981.
Brenda is the featured artist at Carolina Creations, September 1 through October 31. The opening reception will be during ArtWalk, September 14, 5-8 pm. She will be on hand demonstrating and answering questions about her art throughout the evening.
Brenda holds an M.F.A. degree from Syracuse University and she has studied with the late Robert E. Wood, Cheng-Khee Chee, Frank Webb, Don Andrews, Albert Handell and John de la Vega, and Susan Sarback. Sarback is a former student of Henry Hensche, an American painter linked to renown French Impressionist painter Claude Monet. We're excited about Brenda's new work! Click here to see more.

As you know, as a regular customer, we seldom have sales due to the hand crafted nature of the work we carry. In fact the only time we do it is when an artist says - put this on sale.

Details: Each day 9-4:30 with 1 hour for lunch. Bring your lunch or there are restaurants in the area.
Start promptly at 9:00 - come at 8:30 am for a cup of coffee Don't be left wondering how to construct a captivating landscape. These secrets are not only key, so is their order.  Students will learn the step-by-step thought process that results in landscapes that turn heads: 1. Focused Light
2. Intentional Composition
3. Rich Texture
4. Inviting Perspective
5. Balanced Color
6. Believable Objects The class will run from 9-4:30 with an hour lunch break.
