Annette uses real leaves that she applies and uses as a mask by pressing them into the wet clay. She then glazes the piece and when the glaze is dry the leaves are removed, the color of the clay then shows through.

Each year Carolina Creations hosts a reception for the Home Tour and this year will be no exception.  

Stop in for some refreshments from 4-8 Friday, April 8.  

Janet will have tiles of all the homes and buildings on the tour available. Each is an original painting on a tile.

She also has prints of the artwork featured on the Home Tour poster and brochure.

Easter is April 24  

Just in time for Easter our Blissfull Bath creators have come up with a new cupcake Bubble Bath! These will arrive the week of April 4th, call us to reserve some for you!   

Pop up Easter cards are always a favorite. We're told that they are saved and can often be found on display months after the event they were sent for!

Another Easter basket "must have" we introduced last month are our felted wool covered soaps. The wool acts as an exfoliate, it shrinks as the soap is used and when the soap is gone the wool has shrunk into a scented wool ball you can use to scent a drawer. 

Fish in a bag soap is very cute!! 

Remember the days when you were young and you went to the carnival? Everyone always won a little goldfish and took them home in a bag of water. Well here is our rendition of this magical childhood memory. A generous 5 ounces of crystal clear hypoallergenic glycerin soap with a small plastic fish embedded into it so children get a prize for getting clean! Just peel off the bag and soap as usual. When your soap is all gone, you have a fish to swim with!

It's not too soon to be thinking about Mothers Day!  

We are already thinking about Mothers Day, we've gotten in many beautiful cards, new gifts and jewelry.

We have 10 scents of this heavenly perfume. The beautiful packaging made us buy it to start, the wonderful scents keep us ordering it!

And new flock of birds for the garden have just arrived! The artist has also created some wonderful turtles.

Downtown News  

Our Downtown continues to grow and flourish!

The Pepsi Store is Expanding!  It will go from 800 sq ft to 2400 sq ft!  The expansion is hopefully going to be completed by August. They will go from 800 sq ft to 2400 sq ft.The existing store will be turned into the Pepsi Cafe which will have ice cream floats, pre packaged food and penny candy. They are talking over the space previously occupied by The Four C's. 

The Howard House Bed and Breakfast has reopened under new management.  You can check out their website and availability online by clicking here!

The Chadwick House Cafe is open for lunch. Also under new management!

Treasures on the Trent has moved into the Kress Arcade.

Calypso Cottage has opened in the Kress Arcade as well!

The Four C's moved next door into the space that Treasures on the Trent occupied.

LikeDeal has opened an office upstairs from Carolina Creations.

Portraits by Angelo has opened on Middle Street next to the Intimate.

Opening soon is Saffron and Spoons next to Fraser's Wine and Cheese on Middle Street. Actually it opened in the fall in a temporary space behind Middle Street Antiques. 

The Accidental Artist will be moving across the street to the space formerly occupied by the Haymakers Wife.
