Collins & Lacy, P.C. Opens Charleston Office & Welcomes Two New Workers' Compensation Attorneys
We are pleased to announce the opening of our new Charleston location, with three attorneys joining Collins & Lacy: Bennett Crites (practicing in products liability, commercial transportation and insurance coverage) and the newest members of our Workers' Compensation practice group, Mikell Wyman and Tom Bacon. You can read more about each of them below.
We couldn't be happier to grow our group to twelve workers' compensation attorneys poised to defend businesses all across the state of South Carolina, from Greenville to Columbia, Charleston and Myrtle Beach. We welcome Mikell, Tom and Bennett to the Collins & Lacy Family!

Mikell H. Wyman
Mikell Wyman started his 10-year legal career at a small firm working in civil litigation, family law, residential real estate and workers' compensation defense matters. He later joined a larger firm in its Charleston, South Carolina office to focus his practice solely in the area of workers' compensation defense. Mikell has developed particular experience in the defense of pulmonary injury/inhalation claims. Mikell graduated from The Citadel with a degree in Political Science and later obtained his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. While in law school, he served as an editor of the South Carolina Environmental Law Journal.

William Thomas Bacon IV
Tom Bacon has spent seven years practicing solely in workers' compensation. Tom has represented large and small businesses, insurance companies and uninsured employers, and he has successfully argued cases to the Full Workers' Compensation Commission, Circuit Court and Supreme Court. After earning his dual degree in Political Science and History at Furman University, Tom earned his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

J. Bennett Crites III
Bennett Crites' practice focuses on products liability, premises liability, automobile negligence, defamation, insurance bad faith and commercial trucking law. Bennett has experience in litigating cases from minor injury to wrongful death and catastrophic injury. Super Lawyers has identified Bennett as a Rising Star. He also served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable R. Markley Dennis, Jr. and has corporate experience in the financial sector. Bennett earned his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law and his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from The Citadel.
