An Education Day in the heart of New York State!

Syracuse is the place to be on September 17, 2011

Syracuse Education DaySummer just got more social in Syracuse. In addition to endless summer festivals, fantastic golf courses and scenic upland forests, there will also be a very informative Alpha-1 Education day! 

  

This Education Day is part of a six-series of programs throughout the country co-hosted with the Alpha-1 Foundation. They are also an opportunity to get access to current Alpha-1 medical information and resources. Please click here to register and view the program. Summer Recess Visits

A greater understanding of COPD and Alpha-1 in your district...

US COPD  This year the U.S. COPD Coalition is hosting a series of Summer Recess District Visits to recruit new members for the Congressional COPD Caucus and recognize all the hard work and dedication of current Caucus members.   From this effort, your representative will gain a better understanding of the impact of COPD and Alpha-1 throughout their district. This is a great opportunity to have your voice heard and ensure your representatives are working for you. To get involved please contact Aimee Bulthuis at (866)731-2673 Ext. 459.

Dawn McGeeThe Alpha-1 Association's Genetic Counseling Program (1-800-785-3177) offers free phone-based confidential information and resources to Alphas, family members and medical professionals on the genetics of Alpha-1 and provides information on testing options.


Our Patient Information Hotline (1-800-245-6809) provides support to newly diagnosed Alphas, Alphas seeking basic information on Alpha-1, or help such as requesting a peer connection, physician referral, requests for literature, etc.


These free telephone-based resources are available to you Monday - Friday from 9:00am - 5:00pm ET.
