The Bible vs. The iPhone

Ever wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone?
What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?
What if we flipped through it several times a day?
What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?
What if we used it to receive messages from the text?
What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?
What if we gave it to kids as gifts?
What if we used it when we traveled?
What if we used it in case of emergency?
This is something to make you go....hmm...where is my Bible?
Oh, and one more thing.
Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being disconnected, because Jesus already paid the bill.
Makes you stop and think 'where are my priorities'?
And no dropped calls! |

From the Executive Director
THANK YOU for your financial gifts, prayer, and volunteer support in 2011! We ended 2011 in a solid financial position. Part of that occurred because of - Technology!
We posted on our website an audacious financial goal for December. We sent an E-blast when we were approaching our goal. We Facebooked (is that a word?) the excitement. And we met our goal! God works even through our technology.
But it can get overused... my kids often tell me, "Dad, tech-nol-o-gy!!" when I am on my cell phone or laptop too long. I respect that admonition - we need to set aside the technology often in order to really relate to one another.
Thanks for helping us relate to our teens - they need all of us!
Communicating the great news in 2012,
Ed Kaczmarek
