Our last update was sent in such a rush that we absolutely forgot to mention a couple of specific praises and prayer requests!!

First of all, thank you so much for praying for the conference in Denver at Beth Eden Baptist Church. What a blessing it was! We were refreshed and greatly edified by the fellowship with the folks there and by the time spent with experienced missionaries.

Secondly, we ask you to pray for another wedding that will take place on Saturday of this week. The young bride, Amélie, came to Christ under our previous ministry as did her parents. She is marrying a fine young man who loves the Lord and desires to serve Him. The young pastor who replaced Mike in the Sept-Îles Church will be performing the ceremony and another young man who is called to ministry will be preaching the message. Many people will be there who are without Christ. Pray that God will use the testimony of this young couple as well as the preaching of God's Word to convict many of their need of salvation.

Thirdly, please pray for the Province-wide ladies conference that will be held here in our church on Saturday, September 29th. Melanie has been heading this up and is very encouraged by the enthusiastic implication of our own ladies. The theme of the conference is "Lies we believe." Pray for the conference speakers who include both Melanie and our daughter, Stephanie.
