beginning to wonder if there will be enough around the church to make Maple Taffy on Easter Sunday. Spring is on the way! The bright sunshine, warmer temperatures, and melting snow have paralleled a certain unthawing in other areas as well.
Our annual church business meeting was last Sunday, and what a blessing it was! It is now as though the heavy burdens the church had faced since December have been lifted. The folks are more united than we have seen in eight years of ministry here, and they are more excited about being a part of things. Although we did lose a few recently, six believers have expressed a desire to become members soon. Melanie has picked up a Bible Study with a single mother. Mike currently has Bible Studies with one young couple to help with their marriage and with another young couple to prepare them for a wedding in May. God is strengthening us! Christ is building His church!

And of course, there is Catherine. We saw God answer prayer through her most recent visit to the specialist in Montral. Her medicine was changed, and since then she has not had a single seizure! Experience has taught us not to get our hopes up too soon, but she is clearly doing much better. Do continue to pray for her. She is anxious to be able to return to her studies, at least by way of internet. Her heart's desire is to be able somehow to return for studies in the States.
