Back to Reality
The Lord gave us a great three-week deputation/furlough trip in March. We spoke in four churches and one Christian school, spent quality time with Mike's family in North Carolina, our three grandchildren in South Carolina, enjoyed wonderful fellowship at Mike's 30-year BJU reunion and with the staff of IFM in Greensboro. The short encounter with springtime in the Southeast was refreshing especially since that season has been very slow to catch up to Quebec City this year! In fact, last week we had to cancel prayer meeting due to a snow storm!
We had a wonderful Easter service followed by a potluck meal, then maple syrup taffy on snow. There was a good attendance with several visitors including one young couple who lives next door to the church. We are always thankful for such opportunities to clearly proclaim the Gospel even though we rarely see immediate fruit. One lady later expressed disagreement with the part in Mike's sermon where he spoke of sin. She is a successful businesswoman who simply does not see her need for God. This is typical of so many people here. Please pray with us that these dear souls might finally see the light of the glorious gospel of Christ (2 Cor 4:4).

The Clancys to Africa
What a joy it was to have the Clancy family with us over the past year. The Clancys are missionaries with IFM and came to study the french language for service in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The fact that they lived in our church apartment made them very accessible to our folks, particularly to the young adults. They were a special blessing to the Webster family by providing spiritual and moral support through our ordeal with Catherine's health situation and by providing compatible work for her. They will return home to Idaho for a few more months of deputation before heading for Africa in the fall. Please pray for this family whom God chose to use in a special way in the work here in Quebec City!
