We are just moments away from a trip to the airport to pick up the
first team members to arrive from Oak Ridge Baptist Church. We are
looking forward to seeing
this year's renovation project go forward
with their help, but we are also looking forward to the spiritual
benefits that good fellowship will bring to the Webster family and to
our people.

We wanted to thank you for praying about the funeral
that took place on Saturday. Over our nearly 25 years in Qubec, we
have rarely witnessed a time when God's presence and working were so
evident. There were from 130 to 150 people present in all. The music
was Christ-honoring, the testimonies were clear and there was a rare
attention given to the preaching of the Gospel. After the service, our
people provided refreshments for a reception as is our custom. Usually, many unbelievers do not choose to stay for the reception in
the church building but this time was different. There were many
spiritual discussions with the unbelievers present. There were also
many edifying exchanges with believers who were once a part of the work
here. In all, three or four individuals spoke of coming to visit a
church service. One individual asked to meet with Mike in the coming
weeks. One young woman, with whom we had contact earlier at the
hospital, took a Bible and is clearly open to further discussion.
We must conclude this update, but
suffice it to say that God answered your prayers! Please continue to
pray for these precious souls, that the ground into which the seed of
the Gospel has been sown will become good ground.
