Greetings! Fall is exciting here in the studio with so much going on. The new Silver Passport Workshops are underway, and some of you are beginning to prepare for holiday shows. In this issue of the newsletter we have some new classes, a look at what your fellow smithys are doing in Open studio, and a few new tools you may notice next time you are in.
Pretty New Tools!
Thanks to the Silver Passport Workshops you will see some great new additions to the tools at SilverWorks. For Forming we have added the premo hammers and stakes made by Bill Fretz. Feel free to use these once you have taken the Forming workshop. And we have pitch bowls for you to practice your chasing skills.
Continue your journey with Lost Wax. In this class we will explore duplication by replicating an original with the use of rubber molds and wax injection. The use of organic originals will also be explained. Must have completed Intro to Lost Wax. Material fee based on student's design. More info about this class here.
The Silver Passport Workshops are underway and filling fast! A different smithing technique is explored in each workshop. Schedule friendly Wednesday morning or evening, drop in to one, or fill your passport and take them all! Projects are demonstrated and begun in the workshop and finished at your leisure in Open Studio. Each workshop is $85.Must have completed Beginning Silversmithing or equivalent.

Set Up Your Studio
So you have been coming to Open Studio, and those hours have been adding up. Time for you to set up your own space! This 2 hour workshop walks you through all the "scary" things that have kept you from taking the plunge. Practice hooking up a torch. Learn how to handle pickle. Discover a practical approach for purchasing tools. This is an info packed two hours designed to help you spread your wings and leave the nest.
