It has been a busy summer, chock full of great days at the studio, a fabulous show, and a whole lot of prep for the upcoming fall classes. I can't wait to introduce the new Silver Passport Workshops.
Registration Open for all Fall Classes!
The kids are back in school and fall is underway. So are classes at SilverWorks! If you have been holding your breath for the new fall classes your wait is over. Time to kick your creativity into gear. Get your feet wet with a Silver Saturday. Play with enamel or some Sterling Silver Clay. Try your hand at Lost Wax Casting. Or expand your existing skills with our new Silver Passport Workshops. There are tons of options starting in September. Get in early... classes fill fast!
Continue your journey with Lost Wax. In this class we will explore duplication by replicating an original with the use of rubber molds and wax injection. The use of organic originals will also be explained. Must have completed Intro to Lost Wax. Material fee based on student's design.
Sterling Silver Clay Workshop $185
Discover the amazing creative versatility of PMC (precious metal clay). Students complete 3 pieces of jewelry while learning the basics of rolling, sculpting, stamping, and firing. Watch your clay creation become a beautiful piece of Sterling Silver Jewelry. No experience necessary. Originality is encouraged.
Are you curious about Chasing, Anticlastic or Etching. Do you want to learn how to make chains? Cold Connections or Texture Finishing? And what the heck is Keum Boo?
SilverWorks is pleased to add a program we are calling "Silver Passport". Broaden your skills by learning new techniques. A different smithing technique will be explored in each workshop. Schedule friendly Wednesday morning or evening, drop in to one, or fill your passport and take them all! Projects are demonstrated and begun in the workshop and finished at your leisure in Open Studio. Each workshop is $85.Must have completed Beginning Silversmithing or equivalent.

It was a great time, and I would like to thank everyone who showed their work as students of SilverWorks. You represented the studio well and showed everyone who attended what is possible with a few classes and a little practice in open studio.
