Greetings!

I am on my way back from a vacation at Brackley Beach, PEI. The beach reminds me of the work I do: it's always the same work and it's different from moment to moment, day to day, client to client. Integrity means having one identity strong and flexible enough to be recognizably the same through many different experiences and conditions.

The team at NLP Canada Training believes that influence begins in integrity and integrity can be developed using the principles and practices of NLP. Many NLP companies focus on rapport and reading other people. We focus on knowing yourself so well that you inevitably move towards your purpose and other people gravitate to you.

Please take a few minutes and notice which the of events appeal most strongly to you. It's easy to remember to register for a course or program that will support your personal integrity and give you new ideas about building integrity into your projects or teams.

We are building toward our symposium next month. The fourth annual HOPE Symposium is on the theme: Influence through Integrity. That's our mission at NLP Canada Training and a fitting theme for a gathering that will see us certify two new trainers and offer a pre-publication look at my forthcoming book, Shiftwork.

Saturday, September 8, 10am to 6pm

Purpose, Presence & Priorities with John Dafos and Linda Ferguson

A day designed to help you be more focused, more present and more committed to moving in the best direction. This is going to be a lovely program. You'll connect with what is best in you and in the people around you. You'll unwind, create space, and then develop clarity about what comes next. You'll leave the room clear, energized and purposeful.

If you completed a Masters in 2011 or 2012, or if you are speaking at the HOPE symposium, this course is our gift to you. The cost for other practitioners and master practitioners is just $50 to cover materials and costs.  

If you're not NLP-trained by NLP Canada Training, you are also welcome to participate. Your cost is $250 which includes a $200 credit towards your practitioner or master practitioner certification.

Shiftwork with Ron Vereggen

Ron Vereggen is a partner and trainer at NLP Canada Training. If you're new to NLP, expect to learn a little about how it enables people to make positive changes in themselves and to support positive change in others. If you're a long-time NLPer, expect a chance to work on the shifts you know will move you forward. You'll enjoy the way Ron combines a clear, analytical approach to change with some Ericksonian magic and storytelling.

Making Shift Happen with Ron Vereggen

Whether you are a change professional looking for new perspectives and tools or someone who needs to direct the change in your own life, this one day course will help you make shift happen. Shift is the small change of perspective, energy or action that yields tangible results. Shift is the elegant solution to persuading someone to make a positive change. Shift is the way that people naturally move from where they are to where they want to be.  

Ron Vereggen is an NLP trainer, a Master Practitioner of Ericksonian Hypnosis, an Adler-trained coach, and a professional who is known for getting people to pull together to get the job done.  He'll share some of the principles and practices that make him an effective influencer whether he's working with others or talking himself into meeting his own goals.

Cost $150 includes HST.  NLP Practitioners trained with NLP Canada Training are welcome for $75 includes HST.

Many people have family or other obligations that make it hard to work all week and then train all weekend.  That's why we're introducing NLP Practitioner certification in a new format this fall and winter.  Commit to 6 consecutive Saturdays and you'll enjoy an excellent training and have Sundays to regroup and take care of your other priorities.

Join our Celebration of Integrity and Community
4th HOPE Symposium, September 29, 2012, 9:30am to 6:00pm

It's time to register for HOPE!  This one day festival features lots of short presentations made by successful, interesting people. You'll hear ideas on how to feel better, accomplish more, and make strong, satisfying connections with other people.

NLP Canada Training is home to a thriving community of practice. Our practitioners work in many different fields. They are entrepreneurs, coaches, teachers, consultants, artists, songwriters, project managers, marketing specialists and more. When we gather on September 29, you can expect to pick up great, practical ideas on how to think differently to get results you like. You can expect to make new connections, laugh, and feel your own energy and momentum rising.

When you register and pay before September 29, we will have your registration kit and coffee waiting for you on the morning of September 29.  You'll walk to the express desk, pick up your kit, and be ready to join the fun.  If you don't pay until September 29, you'll be made welcome, but you'll have to wait in line while our efficient and cheerful volunteers do our best to collect information and payments.

SHIFTWORK: Integrity One Shift at a Time

After many years work and a few false starts, Linda Ferguson is delighted to share her new book with the people who gather at the HOPE Symposium. SHIFTWORK brings together the learning of the whole of the NLP Canada Training community of practice and makes clear the connection between NLP as we practice it and a deep, resilient, satisfying personal integrity.

This is a book about making the choices, big and small, that will allow you to practise and maintain integrity, the ability to like what you recognize when you look in the mirror. It's not a theory or a program. It's a story we can create together about what might be true as you find the strength and flexibility to pay attention to how you know the world and how you know yourself. As you create your part of the story, you will make some choices because your life demands it (whether or not you know how or what to choose) and you will make other choices because your integrity demands it. You'll begin to learn more about what you can choose that will allow you to feel that you are leading a life well-lived.

Copies of SHIFTWORK will be available at HOPE and Linda will be delighted to sign them for you.  This is a limited edition of prepublication copies that will be made available only at the symposium. SHIFTWORK will launch in January 2013.
NeuroLeadership Practices: Working at the Front of the Room

In May 2013, NLP Canada Training will offer its first new certification program in many years. Our new five day, two weekend course in NeuroLeadership Practices is a course for NLP practitioners or leadership professionals in how to apply the best thinking about how the brain/body/mind system works to what you do when you are teaching, training, facilitating or speaking to a meeting.
