Greetings!

Halloween is over, so it must be time for hypnosis.  As the falling leaves give way to soft, fat snowflakes, it's easy to just let yourself fall deeper into trance now.

Trance feels terrific, and the drift into trance is a lovely reframe of a time of year that is not always loved.

My personal favourite trance involves settling into a really good story.  The rhythms of voice and state and happenings pull at my awareness until the room disappears and I am surrounded by love or adventure or beauty.

If you can, join us for an evening or a course and enjoy the magic that happens when you connect with the best parts of you and the best people around you.  If you can't
join us, connect with the best parts of you and with terrific people wherever you find yourself,

Linda

Practice for Practitioners: Anchor That!

It's another evening of NLP practice, networking with cool people, and attaching new resources to challenges and choice points.  Linda will lead the evening with demonstrations and conversation, and you'll have a chance to ask for a shift, ask questions, refine your technique and give someone a shift they will value. Anchoring is remarkably easy and effective: why aren't you using it more often and more intentionally?

This event is limited to practitioners and their guests. Fee: $30 per practitioner, payable in advance by calling Carole or at the door.  Guests of practitioners attend free, so bring a friend who enjoys feeling resourceful while connecting with great people.

Saturday, November 26, 10am to 5pm
An Introduction to NLP & Ericksonian Hypnosis
Ron Vereggen, Master Practitioner of EH and Training Practitioner, NLP

What would change if you were able to gather your thoughts, know what you want, and feel good about your choices?  This one day course allows you to experience the best benefit of NLP and hypnosis: the knowledge that you can move naturally and effectively in the right direction.  The course includes an overview of the core principles and practices of both NLP and hypnosis and lots of interaction where you get hands on with techniques you can really use.

If you're a coach, manager, teacher or sales professional you'll pick up ideas that you can use immediately.  If you're wondering whether NLP or hypnosis is right for you, you'll learn how the two overlap and how they are different. If you're considering working with a hypnotist or practitioner, you'll be a more informed consumer and you'll get more value for your sessions.

We'll even subtract the cost of this course from your certification fees if you decide to go on to a certification with NLP Canada Training in 2012.

New pricing:  $132.50+HST for you or bring a friend for just $10 more

Thursday, November 17, 7:30pm to 9:30pm
Practice for Practitioners: Storytelling for Transformation

What better way to celebrate the holiday season than with an evening of using stories to change how we feel, what we notice, and the way we connect with the people we influence?  Come because you love to listen to Linda tell stories. Come because you'd like to know more about how stories work to transform individuals or groups.  Come because you feel like celebrating.  Come because there will be lovely home-baked cookies.

Come most of all to connect with your NLP friends.

This event is limited to practitioners and their guests. No fee tonight but in the spirit of the season,
PLEASE BRING A DONATION OF BABY FORMULA, DIAPERS, WIPES OR BABY FOOD. Let's make the season brighter for moms and little ones.

Could Hypnosis Training Improve Your Relationships?

It's not uncommon to hear people who have taken a course in hypnosis say things like "It was really fun but I don't see how I would use it in my life." Of course the easy answer to this is that everyone can use self-hypnosis to solve problems, enhance performance, manage pain or relax and sleep better. Everyone needs the intense, relaxed focus that hypnosis promotes. Self hypnosis is a powerful way of influencing yourself.

Training in hypnosis is only partly about self-influence. Most people take hypnosis courses because they are curious about their ability to influence others. Let's take a look at three ways that you could use training in hypnosis to improve the quality of your relationships.

The core skill in hypnosis is listening. This isn't apparent when you watch a stage hypnotist: it is part of the "magic" that your attention is on the subjects and not on the hypnotists while they are working. It should be apparent in any good hypnosis class. Even before the induction begins, the hypnotist is paying attention with all of his or her senses. This is whole brain listening: hypnotists pick up key words and inflections, watch postures and expressions and notice breathing. They reflect what they observe back to the client to create a wonderful sense of connection and safety. Now take a moment and identify one relationship in your life that would benefit from that quality of connection.

Last chance for Ericksonian Hypnosis in 2011

Mike Mandel will be offering Ericksonian Hypnosis Practitioner and Master Practitioner certification on November 19/20 and November 26/27, 2011.  Mike has shifted the course hours to improve accessibility for those of you commuting into the downtown core: this course will run from 9am to 6pm, eliminating the need for an extra Friday evening of training.

There are a limited number of spots available for this training, so call Carole soon if you'd like the unusual pleasure of being trained by Canada's pre-eminent hypnotist. You can reach her at 416-928-2394.
