Labour Day Weekend
Hope Symposium
Coming Up This Fall
Quick Links
Greetings!

Welcome. I know this looks different than previous emails, but we're just trying to make the most of the web to reach you with the best information in the most timely and convenient way.  That means we have subscribed to an e-mail service to make it easier for you to manage your virtual connection with us.

NLP fosters the ability to think with all of your mind and body about distinctions and connections.  It enables you to live a richer existence, noticing the difference that you make in the world and that the world makes in you. It wakes you up and gets you moving in great directions.

We value every opportunity to connect with you, but we place special value on the ability to work face to face.  As fall approaches (really quickly!) we hope you'll make time in your calendar to join us at a training or event. Whether you are just starting NLP or a Master Prac who loves to learn and influence, please come out (and bring a friend or two)!

Linda Ferguson Every beginning is also an ending
This is the weekend. My oldest moves into his first apartment, a university graduate and an adult. My baby moves into a house near campus. They are eager for what comes next. They are beginning.

It's much harder for their parents. We are ending something. It's a different perspective. All those years of being a family are changing into something less close, less rewarding. It's a reminder that there are no sounds of little boys laughing in the house and that there won't be. For the boys, this is the start of the fall. For us, summer is ending.

Labour Day is like that - bittersweet. Even the people who pack most eagerly for cottages this weekend do it knowing that the season is almost over, that each good weekend now is borrowed time.

My good and wise friend, Andrew Reid, will be giving a presentation at the Hope Symposium on Living on the other side of the finish line. I'm looking forward to hearing him encourage us to look past merely getting our goals and notice what's waiting after we get them. Often, it's the after that's the toughest part.

So. . . enjoy this sunny, beautiful Labour Day weekend. Love the warmth and the beauty. Notice that the first trees are starting to blush with the approach of fall, and that the clear, bright evenings start earlier now. Notice and use the lingering warmth to spark good dreams for fall and winter. Find hope for what comes next.

Emmanuel College, University of Toronto Register now for the HOPE Symposium
On September 19 and 20, 2009, NLP Canada Training will hold its largest, most exciting event ever.  Twenty speakers, all trained in NLP by NLP Canada Training, will create, develop and encourage HOPE through short presentations and conversation.

The conference will open with "The Advantage," an intriguing presentation by Mike Murray who has returned to Toronto from California for this event.  Mike's humour, intelligence and unusual perspectives will engage you with a concept and then lead you to make direct & practical connections to your own choices.  Mike is an IT security expert, a career coach and consultant, and a widely sought speaker.  He's also a Master Practitioner of NLP and we are delighted to have him back at NLP Canada Training for the weekend.

The weekend will continue with consultants and coaches including Ron Vereggen, Christine Laperriere, Mike Verhey, Barbara Luedecke, Iryna Reim, Sheri Andrunyk and Andrew Reid. We'll have presentations from fitness specialist Maxx Kochar, from teacher John Dafos, and from master hypnotist Alan Crossley.  Bev Hagerdorn, Zoe Pepler and Kathleen Milligan are three master practitioners with wonderful stories to tell of working with people in dark places and helping them find light inside and out.

Linda Ferguson and Chris Keeler, Senior Partners at NLP Canada Training, will host, provide running commentary on how learning NLP contributes to getting results, and end each day with a short presentation of their own.

Why should you come? If you are a teacher, coach, manager, or sales professional you will get to experience NLP as a way of enhancing your work and improving your results. If you are experiencing a personal transition, you will find ideas, support, and great energy from people you'll be glad you met. If you are looking for examples of what it takes to achieve excellence in fields that require personal influence, you'll meet terrific people who are getting terrific results.

Call Carole at 416-928-2394 to register.  We're charging just enough to cover our costs, so call before September 12 to be sure we have a spot for you!
