The Xanadu Gallery in Scottsdale Arizona is now carrying my photography.

The gallery owners, Jason and Carrie Horejs, opened their gallery on Monday September 11, 2001.

Opening a new gallery on 9/11 was challenging. However, they cultivated relationships with collectors and grew their gallery into a thriving business.

If you are in the Scottsdale area I encourage you to visit Xanadu.

Though there are similarities between Grayson and Roan, Roan Mountain is higher in elevation at 6285'and the plants and trees found there are akin to those in Canada.The Appalachian Trail winds through forests of Frazier Fir before entering the open balds.

Roan is the summer home of the angora goats of the Baatany Goat Project.They graze on the hillsides of Jane and Grassy Ridge Balds.I find them fascinating and just finished my fourth season of making images for my Goats of Roan collection.

In 2012 I'm again looking forward to spending time exploring and photographing these highlands connected by 120 miles of the Appalachian Trail.
