| Greetings! |
Last week I was photographing in South Carolina's Low Country. I began making images in Beaufort and worked my way from there to Charleston.
Though I made images in locations I planned to photograph, some wonderful suggestions from gallery owners and other photographers led me to unexpected finds.
One of the biggest surprises was finding a Gothic Revival Architecture ice house. The ice house was one of the two remaining structures on an old plantation. The other was a gardener's shed.
The diverse subject matter in the Low Country gave me an opportunity to photograph in color, black-and-white and infrared. I ran out of time before I ran out of places to photograph and look forward to returning later this year.

I was notified that my image of a wild pony I photographed in the mountains of southwest Virginia was juried into the Dogwood Regional Fine Arts Exhibit. The 50-piece exhibition runs from April 1 - 30 and can be seen at the Bennett Galleries in Knoxville, TN.
I'm looking forward to attending the opening reception on Friday April 1st. The reception runs from 5PM - 9PM and is open to the public. If you are in the area it would be great to see you there.
Take care,
Jeffrey |
