Just Think Outside
...the place for creativity
Greetings!

Jeffrey Stoner

As I look back on 2009 the one word that comes to mind is "grateful".

I am grateful for my family and friends, grateful for the opportunities I had to create images in some amazing locations, grateful for the galleries that carry my work, and grateful for you and your interest in the images I create.

Many of you have purchased my images and they are now a part of your home.  I am truly honored.

For 2010 I created a new electronic newsletter or Ezine.  It replaces my newsletter and is being sent to you as one of my subscribers.

As I was trying to decide on the name for this Ezine I kept thinking about how being outside in the beauty that surrounds us sparks my creativity.  So I thought it would be fun to not only share my latest images with you but to also share some thoughts on the creative process.

With that idea, Just Think Outside - the place for creativity was born.

I hope you enjoy this new format and I look forward to your feedback.

Take care,
Jeffrey

A Vision of the Past in the Present

"Creativity, as has been said, consists largely of rearranging what we know in order to find out what we do not know. Hence, to think creatively, we must be able to look afresh at what we normally take for granted."
- George Kneller

A New Year

A Sense of Solitude

In 2009 I was privileged to see, experience, and photograph in some remarkable places.

I had the adventure of searching for and finding the wild ponies on Grayson Highlands on a cold and snowy morning.

Experienced the beauty of following a trail through a purple phlox covered forest floor in the Smoky Mountains.

Was imersed in the mystery of a hike through thick fog to the top of Mt. Rodgers in southwest Virginia.

Stood in awe as I experienced the magnificence of the canyons and buttes of the American Southwest.

and so many more.

For 2010 I've compiled a long list of places to photograph with many of the ideas for new locations coming from you.  I can't wait.

To quote John Muir - "The Mountains are calling and I must go".
