"DIY Indoor Gardening 101"
We just received an email from J.C. canceling the Saturday Class scheduled for noon at the New MexiCann offices.
It is just as well. We had a great deal comment on the last class - much of it not happy. In class, comments were made that were off topic. Most disconcerting were comments made concerning some licensed producers (including us, ah well) and offers to assist in patient to patient distribution of medicine and plant material and the contracting of the conversion of dried medicine into edibles. Patients helping Patients is great, but it can also be self serving and possibly not in accordance with Licensed Patient and Personal Grow NM DoH regs.
As Non Profit Licensed Producers, we cannot be involved, or a party to, or even aware of, dealings between patients that may not be according to the rules and regs of the State of NM Medical Cannabis Program. As Non Profit Licensed Producers, we have contracted and give our word to not only meticulously follow the NM Statute and Dept. of Health Rules & Regs, but to also follow the unwritten intent of those. No rule bending, no cutting corners, no work arounds. Open, above board, lawful - in full view.
All classes to date have been the work of individual presenters who are in no way connected to or a part of New MexiCann Natural Medicine other than as registered patients. Presenters have not been members of the Board of Directors nor employees.
Our apologies if anyone thought otherwise and that the classes were endorsed by New MexiCann. They were not.
We are evaluating class offerings now and how to best make them work. We need to know more about the presenters and the material. We need to be clearer in our policies of what can be discussed and what is off topic and not to be presented as in-class material.
