Getting Settled in...
The staff are busy bees!
The furniture is in place, the boxes unpacked, and it's business as usual!  Or is it?  Business as usual means the same. But, this summer has been far from that adage.

Being downtown once again has reconnected us to many of our members and those who forgot about us.

Come visit us at our new location, you'll never believe we fit it all in here.

A new face-lift for our website.
Hanford Chamber Website
Our website is our Customer Service Representative 24/7. And, we want to answer as many questions as we can in order to be more efficient. We also want to promote our members through their listings on the site.  Our new fresh look and the ability to apply for membership and pay for the membership makes our job a bit easier so we can better serve all members.

One of the features is located right on the home page. Beautiful images of the community we serve.

Do you have an outstanding photo of your business or your business in action within the community? Let us know and maybe you'll soon see your image on our home page.

Another updated feature of our website is our Events Calendar. It's in ICS format which means you can import Chamber Events into Microsoft Outlook or other Calendars which utilize the ICS format. If you use google calendar it's even easier.  You can visit the events calendar using the quick links the right.

As many of you might know, a website is ever evolving and while some information may be sparse we're continually updating to make it even better.

Have a suggestion let us know next time you're in the office or email us at your convenience.

Social Networking is here.
FaceBook - Fan us!
Yes, we are amongst the many businesses and organizations out there who've set up a Facebook page.  Why, you might ask...

There are a multitude of reasons why a business might set up a "page" . But, for now, think about these reasons as they might relate to your business.

Facebook an easy place to engage a group of people around your brand. The social tools, group functionality and free brand pages allowed to companies, clubs and organizations provide an unprecedented level of access to groups of interested consumers.

The easy advertising tools also allow businesses to promote themselves to the 100 million (or thereabouts) users on the social network, affordably, if they so choose that option, not to mention the social advertising that takes place when someone becomes a fan.

Don't confuse Facebook Brand Pages with that of the Facebook Groups.  Both are good and quite advantageous.

The inexplicable benefits of Pages is they are publicly accessible and indexed by search engines, which is important because that fan page can be seen by someone not registered or logged in to Facebook.  Groups on the other hand can only be seen by registered users and can even be set to private for members only viewing.

Visit our facebook page and become a fan - you'll see information and updates as time goes on of value to all our members as well as the community.
As a Chamber of Commerce organization, we have been provided a free Constant Contact account.  Our members receive discounted rates as a result of signing up through us.  Visit the Constant Contact link at the end of this email to see how you can expand your business or organization's reach through email marketing for as low as $15 per month.

We are always open to feedback. So, attend a meeting and let us know how we're doing.

Sincerely,

2009 Hanford Chamber of Commerce Board Members and Staff
