Health Item of the Month! |
Thieves Hand Sanitizer
For those who would like a hand sanitizer that doesn't smell of alcohol and dry out your hands, this is the product for you. Made out of ALL natural ingredients (aloe vera and vegetable glycerin for moisturizing and aromas of cloves, lemon, cinnamon), it is safe for adults and children. The Thieves essential oil blend remaining on the skin continues to purify even after the ethanol evaporates. How cool is that? |

Winter Squash
Cut a butternut or delicata squash (as shown in picture, its flavor reminiscent of a cross between a sweet potato and butternut squash) in half lengthwise, remove seeds and lightly brush with olive oil or butter. Sprinkle on some cinnamon and bake until tender. Serve while hot. Its the perfect treat to warm you up during those cold winter months! |

My Gift to Your Body |
So here it is, finally, what you have all been waiting for, my VIDEOS to help you stretch, exercise, foam roll, meditate, and more.
I am working on them right now and will have them ready by the start of December.
The first videos out will be aimed at total body circuits and stretching to get you through the holidays with a leaner and more flexible body. If you think you can't do it, think again. I have tailored these for everybody, and you can mix and match workouts to make them as long as you need.
Then, once January rolls around I will have some more intense routines for those ready to take it to the next level.
All will be based on good form, science, proper progressions, and all that good stuff you know I'm a stickler to.
They will be posted on my YouTube site at the start of December and oh yeah, they're all FREE.
If you would like a reminder email when I post the videos, then please relply to this newsletter right now saying so.
Have a great turkey day and see you on YouTube! |

Recipe of the Month |
Homemade Healthy Turkey Gravy

- turkey drippings
- water
- one yellow or white onion, chopped
- 2-3 stalks of celery, chopped
- a couple of garlic cloves (optional for those garlic lovers)
- seasonings: thyme, rosemary, sage, salt, pepper (we recommend choosing spices that work well with the seasonings used for the turkey)
- Elevate turkey in a roasting pan. Add extra water to bottom of pan, along with the onion, celery and garlic. Cook the turkey.
- One hour before the turkey is done, pour the drippings and veggies collecting in the bottom of the pan into a bowl--this will be the base of your gravy.
- Strain the drippings and veggies through a mesh strainer into a sauce pan and begin to slow boil the drippings over medium heat; save all of the veggies in a separate bowl.
- While the drippings are on the stovetop, remove about 1/4 cup of the dark turkey and add this into a blender along with the veggies. Puree until you reach a thick consistency. Add more water if too thick.
- Add this mixture to the drippings heating up on the stovetop.
- Add seasonings.
**Helpful hint: if gravy needs to be thickened, add potato flour but only 1 tablespoon at a time to avoid clumps; stir well after each addition.
