First JSCA Happy Hour...Really Happy!
The first JSCA Happy Hour was great fun and a great success. About 35 JSCA members gathered April 7 for fun and networking at the Speckled Hen Tavern on the Southside.
The event was such a success that members immediately asked if we would plan another one. We'll look to another Happy Hour this summer --perhaps at the Town Center -- as we'll rotate the venue to keep it fresh. Stay tuned for details...you don't want to miss all the fun! |

Jacksonville Named Host City For
Sister Cities International Conference
Jacksonville has been selected to be as the host city for the 56th Annual Sister Cities International Conference. The conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency in downtown July 11-15, 2012. JSCA has been asked help plan two receptions, recruit volunteers, recommend entertainment, suggest optional tour programs, identify sponsors and suggest or provide ground transportion. Robert Peek, President of JSCA, has formed a Host Committee to oversee the planning, funding and management of various elements of the SCI Conference. Our goal is to make sure conference attendees experience Northeast Florida. This is a wonderful opportunity not only for our organization but for the community as a whole. Connecting local leaders and motivated citizens, the Annual Conference provides an educational and interactive environment for networking sharing best practices, engaging elected officals and gaining knowlege about the lastest trends in dipolmacy. If you would like to be a part of the Host Committee, please contact Committee Chairman, Doug Coleman at colemanjacksonville@gmail.com. |
