Dear Friends of Tomorrow's Aeronuatical Musuem,

Thank you for another wonderful year of fundraising, and helping us achieve our goals in Aviation. More importantly, thanks for fighting poverty while helping kids get off the streets. Tomorrow's Aeronautical Museum is continuing to design programs that will directly combat the epidemic we face today -- Declining Education.

Over the past decades the United States has fallen from 2nd in the world in Math & Science to now being ranked in the high 20s. This presents a challenge for our future, and we really need to continue inspiring kids with programs that help them become interested in Math & Science. TAM believes aviation is the gateway to adventure in science, technology, engineering, and math.

Also, we face a serious local challenge with the kids we see everyday in Compton. There is a substantial need for afterschool activities that will not only keep youth off the streets, but also contribute to their success in school and prepare them for college. According to the California Department of Education, the high school graduation rate for Compton Unified School District is only 47%. We know from serving these youth that they have major potential. One of these kids who might drop out could be the next innovator, scientist, engineer, etc.

This is why Tomorrow's Aeronautical Museum needs your help -- This coming year 2011 we need funding to start a program that will help these young scientists who have nothing else to do, become inspired and find passion in Math & Science through our new Robotics Program.

Our new Robotics program is already on its way and has volunteer mentors and coaches from Boeing and the US Air Force ready to teach the kids how to build robotics kits, and continue exposing them to science, technology, engineering, and math. Having fun with robotics can lead to excitement about science and math, increased school attendance, a desire to graduate high school and to pursue higher education.

We even plan to have a future STEM lab that will include build-a-plane activities. We need your help, and anything definitely will make a difference.
