On Thursday, November 12, 2009, Captain Joseph Kuzmick, Commanding Officer of the USS John C Stennis (CVN 74) aircraft carrier welcomed aboard Robin Petgrave, Executive Director of TAM as a Distinguished Visitor. The overnight trip grave Robin a rare first-hand look at life aboard the nation's finest aircraft carrier to learn about the role of carrier aviation & the high-level training required to keep our Sailors ready to meet the nation's needs. This trip was a 1st step in a possible partnership between TAM, the U.S. Navy, and OBAP.

Greetings!
As 2009 comes to an end, I would like to thank everyone who has volunteered, donated, and supported Tomorrow's Aeronautical Museum's youth programs despite the tough economic climate. Without your help, none of this would be possible. Please consider TAM for a year-end donation by clicking here.
I was honored to be invited by the Navy as a distinguished guest above the USS Stennis, and I would like to share some photos and videos from our trip. I would also like to encourage you to check our new Calendar of Events for class times and special events from time to time. We have added another day to our Flight Sim Private Pilot Cadet Class due to the increasing enrollment & advancement of current students in our after school program. Aviation Explorers Kimberly Anyadike and Kenny Roy continue to do great things, and I've included short updates on these two young pilots. Kimberly is in December's issue of ESSENCE Magazine in the Top 25 Most Influential of 2009! Please read further for more details. I hope you enjoy our Winter Issue of the "Roots & Wings Newsletter".
Happy Holidays,
Robin Petgrave Executive Director, TAM |
