On February 20, the Art Museum welcomes Tiger Alumni and invites you to visit our two newest exhibitions -- The Making of a Masterpiece: Nosadella's Annunciation and The Artist as Image -- and our newly refurbished galleries of Medieval, Byzantine, and Islamic art -- all opening that day!
Also, you won't want to miss the final days of Emmet Gowin: A Collective Portrait. Closing February 21, it celebrates of the legacy of one of Princeton's most beloved faculty who retired at the end of 2009. |
Spring Programming
Art for Families and Gallery Talks
Spring programming is off to a roaring start, and with Art for Families meeting nearly every Saturday, there is always something for children and their adults at the Museum. Drop in from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for scavenger hunts, self-guided tours, and of course, hands-on art projects.

The Art Museum is proud to welcome two extraordinary contemporary artists. Daniel Heyman, who currently has work on display in the Museum's Peter B. Lewis Gallery, has spent the last four years making images about the war in Iraq. In this intimate talk, cosponsored by the Lewis Center for the Arts, he will discuss his work and creative process.
On Thursday, February 25, Princeton's Program in Latin American Studies and the Department of Spanish and Portuguese Languages and Cultures will present Regina José Galindo, a leading Guatemalan performance artist and writer. In a program hosted by Kelly Baum, the Museum's Locks Curatorial Fellow for Contemporary Art, Galindo will discuss her life experience, work, and artistic perspective. The lecture will be given in Spanish. |
The Princeton Singers present Mostly Medieval

In celebration of the reopening of the galleries for Medieval, Byzantine, and Islamic art, the Art Museum welcomes the Princeton Singers for two spectacular evenings of music. Held in the Museum galleries, the performances will include medieval and twentieth-century compositions and feature such composers as Guillame Dufay, Josquin des Prez, and Claude Debussy. Under the leadership of renowned composer and conductor Steven Sametz, the Princeton Singers is one of the nation's preeminent chamber choirs. A reception will follow in the Museum.
