Greetings!

February reminds us that the holidays are over and the business of the new year is well under way.  The Pasadena Public Library is here to help out by offering several programs and series this month to get everyone on the way to a more enjoyable and prosperous year, including FREE tax preparation for seniors and low to moderate income persons courtesy of AARP, our Career Center Kickoff Job Hunters Seminar Series (a long title for a lot of information!) and more.

FREE Tax Help at Central
Every Wednesday and Thursday from February 3rd until April 15th, the AARP will have free tax preparation on site
from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. available to seniors and persons of low to moderate income.  Please have all the proper documenation with you to expedite your tax preparations.  For more information, pick up a flier in the library or call us at 713-477-0276.

Miss Lou Lou comes to Pasadena Public Library!

"Laughing Through Life with Miss Lou Lou" February 26th for TWO SHOWS!!
Pasadena Public Library is excited to have the award winning and celebrated singer/songwriter/performer Ms. Lou Lou for two FREE intergenerational events.  Bringing together seniors and children's groups(and everyone in between), Miss Lou Lou will share her folk songs and stories with the folks of Pasadena.  Be sure to some out and enjoy this wonderful event!  For more information on either show, please call 713-475-0276.

We're celebrating seven this year at the Central Branch of the Pasadena Public Library. 

Do you have a gold mine hiding in your attic?  Bring in any type of old curiosity or collectible and find out!  We've got nationally recognized appraisers coming this year along with a representative from the Doll Hospital from Spring, Texas.  Fun for all ages!!

This year we've got an awesome raffle prize!! 

TWO COMPLIMENTARY WEEKEND NIGHTS in a deluxe accommodation (Friday and Saturday) with breakfast for two in the restaurant at the Intercontinental Hotel Houston!!    Tickets will be $1 each or 6 for $5 with the money supporting the Friends of the Pasadena Public Library.  Collection boxes will be up at both Fairmont Branch and Central Library Locations so stop by and enter to win this great prize!
