PerkinElmer's Eagles team soared to victory in one of the closest finishes in Corporate Cup Mini-Golf history as their score of 188 was two strokes better that CDW-G's Off in the Woods team's 190. Al Mezes's 43 paced teammates Kris Keegan (51), Rick Frank (49) and Neil Vegilante (45). Justin Sikora (46), Corey Goodman (46) Nick Ianus (50) and Dan McQuirk fell just short of PerkinElmer's total, but was good enough to keep CDW-G in first place in the race for the 2011 Cup.
BIC, which won the event last year, had another strong performance as it had two of the four teams which finished in a four way tie for third place along with Fletcher Thompson and PerkinElmer. Click here for a full list of team scores. |
Healthy Team Lunch - Wednesday, May 11 |

Lunch for Corporate Cup Healthy Teams will be provided at Griffin Hospital's Center for Cancer Care on Wednesday, May 11th at noon. This lunch is limited to those who registered as Healthy Teams at the very beginnning of the Corporate Cup Competition. |

Next Scoring Event - Bocce - Thursday, May 24 |
The Corporate Cup bocce tournament will take place on Thursday, May 24th at 5:30 PM on Shelton's Riverwalk. The registration dealine for this event is Tuesday, May 17.

Healthy Team Post-Testing - May 23 & 25 |
Healthy Team participants will conduct their post-test evaluation on May 23 or May 25 at the Physical Medicine & Rehab Department, located on the second floor of the Center for Cancer Care at Griffin Hospital. Points will be awarded for certain healthy behaviors, for measured, positive physical changes, and for participating in other healthy events scheduled throughout the three-month competition.
Participants are requested to follow the same pre-test schedule. Meaning if a participant had a pre-test appointment on the first day at 2:00, he or she should attend the first session of post-testing at 2:00. The post-test schedule is: Monday, May 23: 11:15 AM - 3:00 PM Wednesday, May 25: 11:15 AM - 3:00 PM Each participant must additionally complete a Participant Contract, to be submitted at post-testing. CDW-G's second place finish in Mini-Golf was enough for them to raise their lead to by half a point over second place BIC in the race for the 2011 Cup. CDW-G now has 80 points to BIC's 77.5. CDW-G second place finish in Mini-Golf was wortj 17. points while BIC's tie for thrd place netted them 16.25 points. Defending champion Perkin Elmer climbed back into third place as Spectrum Plastics dropped to fourth.
Birmingham Group moved back ahead of TEAM, Inc. in the battle for fifth place but has opened their lead over their friendly rivals to 4.25 points.
