Allocations committee seeks volunteers

Now that the campaign is winding down, it's time for the hard work of allocating funds to be done. Starting Monday, volunteers from throughout the Valley will begin the job of examining budgets and programs and visiting with applying agencies. They will make their recommendations to the Board of Directors in June. We're looking for volunteers who might be interested in serving. The only requirements are that you be a donor and be interested in serving the community. Contact Jack Walsh at Valley United Way if you would like to participate.

Thank You for the Help

Corporate Cup Update

CorpCup2011Corporate Cup competitors will be pitching shoes in teams of two to three players this Saturday as the Community Corporate Cup hits the midpoint in this year's competition.

The official start time is 9:00 am at American Legion Sutter-Terlizzi Post #16 located at 295 Bridgeport Ave, Shelton.

PerkinElmer's husband and wife team, Geraint and Kate Phillips, won their second staight Orienteering title last week. Click here for the full story.

CDW-G is still on top of the 2011 Corporate Cup leader board, but three teams are now in a dead heat for second place. A strong second place finish in Orienteering was enough for them to actually increase their lead to 4.25 points. PerkinElmer used their Orienteering win to catch up to Spectrum Plastics and BIC for second place honors. TEAM, Inc. rounds out the top five.
