Corporate Cup Update
Twenty-eight teams duked it out to see who was the king pin at Milford Lanes in the first scoring event of this year's Corporate Cup. Evelyn Allen bowled the first perfect game in Corporate Cup history to help CDW-G win the tournament. Congratulations to CDW-G's team, "Team I Don't Know," on the win and for also setting single and three game records for pins knocked down! Campaign Coordinators Luncheon
Campaign coordinators from several companies stopped by Valley United Way for a Thank You Luncheon last week. These individuals organized "fun-raisers" at their respective companies and donated their proceeds to Valley United Way to meet the growing needs of the community. The coordinators shared their experiences on motivating and inspiring others to work towards a common cause. They also discussed what worked and what they would like to improve on by offering valuable feedback.
If you are a campaign coordinator who missed this luncheon and would like to share your fundraising experiences with us, we would love to hear from you! Please contact Laurel Vicidomino at laurel.vicidomino@valleyunitedway.org or call (203) 926-9478. |

Help Promote Awareness of the Earned Income Tax Credit
Since 1975, the Earned Income Tax Credit has been offering tax relief to low and moderate income individuals and families. In recent years, CT filers claiming EITC have received an average credit of over $1,800 on their federal taxes. Once again, United Way of Connecticut is working to inform and educate families about their eligibility for EITC and other federal tax credits.
TEAM, Inc. in Derby is the local provider of this valuable service, and they have done an outstanding job of saving Valley residents thousands of dollars. You can learn more about their service by clicking here.
