With the cooperation of Mother Nature, the 2010 Community Corporate Cup competition will come to an end this Saturday following a very busy week of activity with the Run/Walk, Wiffleball and Bocce completion all scheduled. |
| Run/Walk - Rain or Shine! |
| This year's Run/Walk is set for Wednesday night and is a great way to show your physical fitness. Up until last year, this was just a walk around the track, but you now have a choice of doing the 2K walk or running in the larger 5K run - the Valley YMCA Sunset 5K. It will be held at the Prendergast School in Ansonia, and will start at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, June 9.
We've already got 22 runners and 80 walkers signed up. This event will be held rain or shine. Please complete your on-line registrations today. Remember that we need the age and sex of your runners as they will not only be competing in theCorporate Cup, but also in the larger Y Sunset Race as well. |
| Wiffleball is on-deck! |
Last year marked the introduction of wiffleball to the Community Corporate Cup, and it proved to be a very popular event. This year's event is scheduled for Saturday, June 12 at the Shelton Riverwalk. We expect a large turnout, and we advise you to register early as we may have to limit the number of participants.Please take the time to register now.

| Awards Reception |
| The 2010 Community Corporate Cup Awards reception will be held on June 22 at Griffin Hospital at 5:30 pm. At the reception, we will be announcing the results from the Healthy Team competition, presenting medallions for all of the individual event winners and finishing with the announcement of the 2010 Community Corporate Cup competition. Seating is limited, so make your reservation early by clicking here. |
| BIC on top heading to final events |
| With three events likely to be added to the totals this week, BIC has a 2.75 point lead over Perkin Elmer. They are both still alive in the Bocce tournament with the Run/Walk and Wiffleball scores also to be tallied this week.
This will be the biggest scoring week in Corporate Cup history, and we still have the Healthy Team results to come, so it's still a wide open race to the finish line on June 22.
