Mike Marcinek, Chairman of Valley United Way's Board of Directors, served as master of ceremonies for the 2009-10 Community Campaign Kickoff held at Griffin Hospital's Center for Cancer Care. He passed along news that United Way's Board of Directors had already reached their campaign goal of 100% participation and reported over $35,000 in pledges.

Campaign Chairman, Fred Ortoli, introduced the members of his cabinet and recognized dozens of others who stepped forward to volunteer. He shared very encouraging early results from Griffin Hospital's campaign, which grew by more than 30% to over $26,500 this year.
