Valley United Way is pleased to have joined with familywize Community Service Partnership to help promote and distribute free discount prescription drug cards. Many Valley pharmacies participate in this national program, and you can learn more on the United Way website by clicking here.

The Corporate Volunteer Council recently held its first ever Annual Meeting at Center Stage in Shelton, and Pitney Bowes was presented with its Community Impact Award for all they have done with the CVC. Click here for the story and many more pictures from a successful evening.

2009 - PerkinElmer in the lead - again

The Community Corporate Cup is nearing its mid-point following the completion of the bowling, darts and billiards events. PerkinElmer has opened a 4.25 point lead as it seeks to "three-peat". You can find the whole schedule with many stories and pictures throughout on the website.
Letter Carrriers' Food Drive Coming in May
Corporate Cup MastheadOnce again Valley United Way and members of its Youth Leadership Program will be assisting Valley Letter Carriers with the 17th Annual NALC National Food Drive. The theme this year is "Stamp out Hunger" and you can help by leaving nonperishable food items next to your mailbox for Letter Carriers to pick up when they deliver your mail on Saturday, May 9.

Valley United Way's Volunteer Action  Center will sponsor its Annual Volunteer Recognition Awards Ceremony at John J. Sullivan's in Ansonia on May 5, and you are invited to make nominations. Click here for all information and and on-line form. The deadline for nominations is April 19, 2009.
