Springtime Bliss Smoothie

  • 1/2 glass of cranberry juice
  • 1 banana
  • 1 teaspoon of local organic honey
  • 3 tablespoons fresh blueberries
  • 4 ice cubes
  • 1 tablespoon low fat yogurt
Mix Ingredients together in blender.  Blend until all ice cube are crushed.  Pour in a cup and enjoy on a warm spring day!

Dear Students,

Soon, all of Big Toe Studio's students will be hiking, mountain and road biking, rollerblading, trail running, walking, climbing, dancing, playing tennis, golf, rugby, volleyball, and more; Pilates please! 

One of the key goals of Big Toe Studio, is preventative health care for our students.  With so many physical activities available we strive to make our students perform extremely well and look great doing it. 

Big Toe Studio's Pilates program increases flexibility, agility and balance while lengthening, toning and defining muscles. Pilates will help you attain a strong back, core strength, and healthy joint attachments while learning balance and the control of natural body movement patterns; making Spring and Summer activities more enjoyable. So, relax your shoulders, engage your core, breathe a perfect Pilates breathe, and maintain your posture during your adventures this spring!

Body questDebra Elliott of Life Light Creative, is bringing Bodyquestadvantage.com, the online fitness website closer to completion!  This website is a learning tool for greater preventative health care and fitness awareness.  Currently we are creating a web page for each of the topics that will be taught and individually tracked on Bodyquestadvantage.com. 

Bodyquestadvantage.com members will be able to track daily nutritional intake and allow you to compare your intake to what is actually needed for your specific body type and bring you closer to  your goals.   You will learn habits that will affect your daily activities and will change the rest of your life. 
Springtime Changes at Big Toe Studio
  • dog painting We are very excited to be displaying the artwork of Amanda Acheson, a renowned artist who lives right here in Fort Collins!  Amanda's paintings are enhancing our Studio for the benefit of our students.  This beautiful painting, which is hanging at Big toe Studio, is for sale and Amanda can custom create a painting just for you!
Most of Amanda's work is being displayed  in IA and MO galleries.  She paints a variety of sizes.  Amanda can take photos from pets to children to hobbies, and transforms them into a custom  painting  for your own enjoyment, or even for a gift for your family and loved ones.  Email Big Toe Studio for more information.

So very tired....

You can't store it, you can't produce it, and you've got to have it. Drinking 2-3 quarts of water daily is a great way to maintain a healthy, fit lifestyle.   With the changing of the seasons and increased daily activities, the effort of staying hydrated is paid back by increased stamina, mental focus, and more energy.  This simple regular daily activity allows our students to maintain healthy skin tone, increased alertness, and maybe even better posture.  So drink up, fill a pitcher of water, throw in a couple slices of lemon or lime, or perhaps an herbal tea bag.  Enjoy not living in the middle of the Sahara desert where there is very little water, but instead take advantage of the plentiful and clean Colorado water that surrounds you.  . 

Your April Water Challenge: Keep a  BPA free water bottle in your car and near where you work out, and drink 2-3 quarts of water daily to rejuvenate yourself throughout the entire day.

  When Don started this business he was counseled to surround himself with the very best people and to listen to their advice.  It's working!  We have the nicest location, the best neighbors, the most wonderful students, a beautiful massage room, coffee bar, fantastic artwork, fountains, luxurious plants, Bose surround sound speaker system, Nita Crisp crackers, and so much more! 

All because, when you surround yourself with the very best people, and listen to their council, Don learned to teach his students with great respect, knowledge, motivation and skill.  To that end, thanks to all of you for all of your wise words that are cherished, remembered, and constantly utilized to help so many students.  Because of all your support, it allows Big Toe Studio to provide a unique, safe, and enjoyable learning environment for Pilates and Massage Therapy.  This, of course, is because, "Its all about you!"
