MOTHERS' MONTH
No, that's not a misprint... It's merely our way of acknowledging the incredible influence of mothers in our lives. Mothers come in all shapes and sizes, godmothers, grandmothers, step-mothers, mothers-in-law, as well as the women we bond to along the way who make us who we are.
In honor of our Mothers we have some specials outlined below. But more importantly, if you purchase a Gift Certificate for $120 or more for your (whatever) Mom during the entire month we will give you a credit of $50 toward any full-priced treatment.
In the meantime, thank you and Happy Mothers' Day from the bottom of my heart to Esther (my Mom), Doris (JoAnn's Mom), my Aunt Esther (who helped raise me), and Mrs. Meola and Mrs. Wolfe (my best friends' Moms). They all made me who I am. They can have the credit. I'll take the blame!

ADVENTURES IN PUBLISHING
On Monday, April 25, the Doc and I took his book, SPIRIT RANCH, to the Desert Writers' Expo at the Rancho Mirage Library where we had a chance to showcase it along with about 36 other published authors. Sponsored by the Palm Springs Writers Guild and the library, the expo was a chance to rub elbows with some of the most well known and critically acclaimed desert writers. Doc's book held its own very well, thank you, and we were very pleased at all of the compliments. In an effort to give the book even wider distribution, we agreed to make it available on Amazon, Kindle, iPad, etc., as an ebook at the low price of $.99. It makes a great summer read so if you haven't read it yet this is a great chance to do so. And if you are so inclined, please post a comment here on Amazon. Autographed copies of SPIRIT RANCH are available in the office for only $10. The Doc is in the process of writing another one, but that won't be out until at least the end of the year. In the meantime, remember to live, laugh, and love your skin. And always remember the sunscreen. And remember, too, that we will be open during the summer, as always. JoAnn
