WHAT'S IN YOUR FACE??
In the last few days I have fielded phone calls, faxes, and office visits from no less than four companies offering to sell me something they represented as being "real Botox," "real Radiesse," and "real Juvederm," all at greatly reduced prices.
As an old friend used to say: "If something sounds too good to be true, it usually is."
The regulations under which aesthetic physicians operate mandate we obtain the products we inject from domestic sources and specifically preclude using products that are imported. The FDA cannot ensure the safety of products that come from unknown sources. This has a dual purpose: a) it assures the consumer that the products have been manufactured under approved conditions, and b) it assures us that the products have been stored under approved conditions.
Obtaining products from non-approved sources would cut our overhead down significantly and enable me to charge a lower price. For me, however, it could never be worth the loss of confidence and the loss of sleep.
I like to know what's in my face and I know my patients do, too.

$50 BOTOX REBATE
Allergan, manufacturers of BOTOX, has a special rebate in place of $50 that applies to every BOTOX treatment of $200 or more. Simply go on to their website, enter the lot number of the product we use, and follow the easy directions to receive your check for $50.
With a 46 unit correction at $10 per unit, this brings the price per unit down to a superdeal of $8.91.
LIP SERVICE
Our three-pronged attack on restoring and maintaining lip volume while improving those pesky lip lines (that attract lipstick like a magnet) involves:
1. Restoring lip volume with comfortable Juvederm XC (with lidocaine),
2. Maintaining the volume with daily use of Lip Plump by Skin Medica, shown to improve lip volume and coloration,
3. Using the OPAL with the special serum twice daily around the lips.
