 REFLECTIONS ON AN INTERESTING YEAR...
There is an old saying, the origins of which are cloudy: May you live in interesting times.This has been an interesting year, indeed. Many of the ideas and ideals we cherished and held to be inviolable have been questioned; many overturned; many left wobbling. Stress has become one of our best-known companions. And yet it has been an invaluable experience, a chance to rediscover what really matters, a reason to look into the eyes and the hearts of our friends and patients (often, thankfully, one and the same) and find a common spark. The best part is we're still standing, and we will continue to stand for our beliefs and for what we know is right as long as we can. To all, a very Merry Christmas from all of us here. Remember to say a prayer for our troops who put themselves in harm's way, now and in years past, so we can enjoy a quiet holiday. With that, I leave you with this Christmas gift: the last words from the last song on the last album the Beatles ever recorded. "And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make." This time of year the resort is often host to a variety of meetings, parties, etc. As a result, parking is sometimes at a premium (including the spaces we have reserved for our patients).
Don't despair! Merely drive over to the main entrance of the resort, valet your trusty carriage, and ask for a shuttle to the office. We will validate your parking stub after your appointment, call a shuttle for you, and you'll be on your way.
It's as easy as that. Valet parking is also a good idea if it is raining. You can exit under the porte cochere and stay dry.

A "BACIAL"

In response to the many requests we have received for something to "tune up" the back for those backless holiday dresses, Amy and Lynne, our stalwart aestheticians, have come up with something that has been called a "bacial," a facial treatment for your back!

BoTAX?!?
|
To help pay the costs of the health insurance bill being debated in the Senate, senators have proposed a 5% federal tax on aesthetic procedures such as facial plastic surgery, BOTOX, wrinkle fillers, facial skin treatments, laser procedures, breast augmentations, and many more cosmetic treatments. This tax would come on top of increased payroll and income taxes sure to result from this bill's $849+ billion cost.
This tax puts cosmetic procedures in the same category as cigarettes and alcohol. As close to 90 percent of the patients who seek these services are women, this tax also is clearly discriminatory.
I urge you to look further into this matter here and find out more for yourself.
