Greetings!
The "Dog Days" of summer are here. A curious appellation, indeed, but a
venerable one, steeped in history and astronomy.
Ancient astronomers were familiar with Sirius, also known as
the "Dog Star," and knew it to be the brightest object in the heavens besides
the Sun, of course, and Venus. In the
days of the ancient Greeks, Sirius rose close to the time of sunrise during the
hottest days of summer. Believing the
star to be the cause of hot, sultry weather, the ancients sacrificed a brown
dog at the beginning of the Dog Days to appease the rage of Sirius.
 Sammy, our Director of Stress Management, (pictured at left) was not at all
relieved when I told him it was a brown dog and not a black dog and he has been
looking over his shoulder ever since we brought it up. He wants everyone to know he has nothing to
do with 116+ degree weather. I also told
him it might have worked in Athens but nothing
works in the Coachella
Valley.
Look on the bright side.

IT'S ALL ABOUT MAINTENANCE

After six years performing our unique, no-downtime skin
improvement procedures we are more than ever convinced of their

BOTOX®, BOTOX, BOTOX

 BOTOX® is the most commonly performed cosmetic dermatology
procedure with over 4,000,000 treatments being done in 2008. One of the most amazing aspects, however, is
the degree of misunderstanding that attends all of those mind-boggling
numbers, even among dyed-in-the-wool
BOTOX fans.
BOTOX is a simple,
nonsurgical, physician-administered treatment that can temporarily smooth
moderate to severe frown lines between the brows, on the forehead, and at the
corners of the eyes. A few tiny

national publications. Two additional
articles are upcoming in the next six weeks.
The next issue of DESERT MAGAZINE, part of THE DESERT SUN, will have an
article on the treatment of brown spots that draws heavily on the experience of
Doc Foxx with pulsed light (IPL) therapy and with FRAXEL®.
The
September/October issue of SPA magazine will also have an article on brown
spots with the Doc being one of the major sources quoted.

PARKING
|
Prior to the installation
of an attendant at the entrance to our parking area the resort planned to issue
parking stubs. That's what I reported in
the last newsletter but that idea has since been shelved in favor of stub-free
parking for our patients. Merely tell
the attendant you are our patient and you will be waved through.

New insights into personal development
Doc Foxx has had a
lifelong relationship with horses. An experienced rider (and part-time cowboy),
the Doc has long used horses to explore the world of non-verbal communication
and is convinced of their ability to draw attention to the intentions,
