U.S. House Passes Disasterous Cap & Trade Legislation

June 26th, 2009
Good Evening Taxpayers,

Just moments ago, the United States House of Representatives passed H.R. 2454, the Waxman-Markey "American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009" better known as Cap & Trade.

44 Democrats (Including Congressman Earl Pomeroy) broke ranks with their party and voted AGAINST this horrible piece of legislation.

This legislation now moves on to the Senate.

Senator Conrad has indicated he is leaning towards opposing this bill, Senator Dorgan has been less suggestive as to how he will vote.

Congress will be in recess next week, which is a perfect time to start pressuring Senators Conrad and Dorgan to vote just as Congressman Pomeroy voted.

Thank you,

Dustin Gawrylow, Executive Director
