I have started getting quite excited about our twitter profile!
Alistair created it a while ago and, as far as now, I had hardly
used it... but since I had a little time on my hands and I felt as if I was the
only individual on the planet who did not know how to tweet (!), I thought...
why not?
So, armed with as much courage as I possibly could gather, I
ventured into the magic world of the Internet and attempted a few words on
Stellina Baby. Would anyone be interested in us? Would anyone actually care,
that was my main concern...

I had initially thought of attending a workshop (!) on Twitter,
but I felt totally inadequate when my 12 year old niece told me about her
tweets with her friends... and if she could manage to work it out and have a
huge following, why couldn't I???
My first tweet was about the new teddies in the collection and I
felt I had conquered the world! I actually believed for once to have been very
clever indeed, until Alistair quite rightly pointed out that it would have been
most helpful to copy a link to the page in the subject, so that people would
really be able to find the Coccola and the Fiocco!
Mhhhh! Was I really that clever... I surely had to think about
that one again...
What is wonderful about being able to communicate with people on
the net is not only that you can hear their views and share ideas, but it is
also being part of a community who share tips and suggestions on a variety of
topics.
I am actually overriding my fear of making a total fool of
myself and really trying and seeing what potential customers, friends and other
baby companies make of the range, the product selection, the colours, the
choices we have made - and I hope you will be able to follow us too and become
part of our Stellina Baby community!
We are also excited as our Summer break in Italy is fast
approaching... and we cannot wait to be able to leave the crazy, manic work
world and relax on a beach in Southern Italy...
I can see more inspiration coming alongside our wonderful
opportunity for some quality family time, so watch this space in September for
more details.
We will be packing all of our lovely seaside gear and some...
wait... some cashmere too... Yes, correct! As warm as it is outside, cashmere
has amazing insulating properties and, in the Summer evening, it comes very
handy!
I am actually making good use of my cashmere cardigans at the
moment, as I have the air- con blasting in the office and anytime I go inside,
it is absolutely freezing and I need all the warmth that I can get!!!
However, it is great to know that on the market you will find a
lot of Summer-weight cashmere, which is, of course, thinner - "single
ply'' - nearly transparent, compared with the double- and triple-ply weights of
winter, but as beautiful as the heavier weights (in order for the garments to
be made well, the fibres must be sturdier but finer...) and providing the same
amount of warmth as you require.... Magic!
Do I use it als o for the children... yes, and I am not biased on
this one!!!
I am proud to say that the Independent Newspaper recently featured a supplement of the Top 50 Best Baby products and our Stellina Baby Bacio came in at No. 22 as "the Ultimate in luxury" together with our Stellina Baby Miele Baby Cashmere/Cotton Socks.
So on that happy note, I would like to wish you all happy holidays and look forward to hearing from you on our new twitter page!
Happy Stellina Baby shopping!
