Welcome to Stellina Baby's Newsletter!

June 2010

Our new products have been on the website for the past four weeks and they have literally been flying off the shelves! It is great to know that you like them and Alistair and I would like to thank you for your feedback - it is the most precious tool we have to know that we are heading the right direction every time...

This month we are ready to launch our new tights and socks ranges, which have been added on due to popular demand. They are all super soft and super cosy... and they were a tricky one to develop!

As you know, absolutely every single product on our website has so far been made of 100% Cashmere, no blends - as we truly believe we are able to offer you the best quality Cashmere at the most competitive price...

Amarello Ribbed TightsWith our hosiery range, however, we have had to make a little concession and allow for a blend to be used. We started our development process with 100% Cashmere tights, but during our various wearer trials we found that pure cashmere tights would not last as well as those made with added cotton and silk and a little elastane. They make both the socks and the tights easier to wear and more durable, as well as allowing them to retain their original shape...

What is great is that they are still lightweight and ultra warm, and are the perfect complement to our new dresses range - and as all of our products, are true luxury at your fingertips!

We start with the Amarello Ribbed Tights, fashion tights with an exposed elasticated waist and the Stellina Baby logo printed on the base of the sock. They are available in two sizes (0-6 and 6-12) and in two colour ways, Slate and Jasmine.

Pallina Starry TightsThe Pallina Starry tights follow, with a plain knit and little stars intarsia from our logo on the back. They are delightfully fun and toasty warm! They have a covered elasticated waist and the Stellina Baby logo printed on the base of the sock and are available in two sizes (0-6 and 6-12 months) and in two colourways, Sky Blue and Pale Rose.

When both Tyrone and Louis were babies, I seemed to be forever buying socks for both of them, as they were able to pull them off so easily and in most cases I had a lot of odd socks left behind... It was a real drama!
 Croccantino Cable Knit Socks
This is the reason why, when developing our Croccantino Cable Knit Long Socks, we made the extra effort to ensure that they actuallt stay on! I really do think these are destined to be a hit with parents and little ones alike, as their feet are never going to be cold again!
The Croccantino has a fine cable and rib motif and our stellina baby logo at the base of the sock and it is destined to be the essential product for any fashionable baby who likes to stay warm and cosy! Available in two sizes (0-6 and 6-12 months) and three colourways, Slate, Sky Blue and Pale Rose.

More Top Tips for Cashmere:
We have been having regular updates about how to care for Cashmere, but
this week I would like to share with you something which I think is simply genius!

A Facebook message from a friend made me think about the issue of how a man should know whether to give up their seat or not (!) on public transport in fear of causing a lady, whom they believe to be pregnant, any embarrassment should she not be! A few days later, as I was getting on a super busy train at London Bridge, I saw a lady with a large BABY ON BOARD badge in the shape of the Underground Logo. I searched online and found out that this initiative was introduced by TFL in 2005(!)...

Well, it seemed to work in the case of the lady at London Bridge and am sure that if more ladies wore these badges, more people would be aware that pregnant ladies do exist (!) and (quite almost) guarantee a seat on the train, tube or bus, particularly at rush hour!
I thought I was fully up to date with all the latest London news, but I really did not know this one and felt it would be worth sharing!

Until next time,
Happy Stellina Baby shopping!
