Dear Stellina Baby friends, Our new photography has been taken and we have uploaded our
fresh, new images onto the website... it has taken us a while, but we
are
nearly there!
Alistair spent the last month planning our photo shoot,
gathering models (our friends and family's darlings and our very own
Louis),
selecting new products that needed photography and old ones that were no
longer
looking their best (it is amazing how fast the web world changes!) and,
finally, during the longest week end any of us could remember all was
done and
dusted!
Four weeks of careful planning were concentrated in two - rather
hectic - but absolutely fun days! Our gorgeous models looked wonderful in our Liquirizia, they simply adored
our new Cashmere soft toys, and our new pocketed dress was such a hit,
so much so
they did not want to take it off! One of our models was so snug in our new cabled
Cashmere blanket and even cuddled up and fell asleep in our Bacio
hooded nest
(and looked oh, so angelic).
On Sunday, our angelic models stole the show in their Stellina Baby cashmere outfits - and Emma was
wonderful, keeping her cool in her very first photo shoot with under 15s! So, I write this newsletter whilst
exhausted from the exciting activities of March, but delighted at the outcome!
As well as freshening the photography, we have also redesigned the website interface to enable you to view the products more easily by clicking on the image to enlarge it and we now also offer other items in our range that could be bought to 'Complete the Look!'.
A LITTLE
SNEAK PREVIEW OF WHAT IS TO COME
:
Based on your feedback and demand,
we are adding more dresses to the range, more longer socks, tights, more
fabulous tops and footed leggings, more cardigans...

We will be launching these new products very soon, so keep your eyes peeled to see what is new and please don't forget
to keep in touch and let us know what you think!
More Top Tips for Cashmere:
We keep being asked whether our
cashmere can be machine washed, as there seem to be many customers out there
who are a tad overwhelmed at the thought of having to hand wash their little
one's clothes. Our yarn
manufacturers recommend hand washing and we are, therefore, obliged to use this
information on the clothes labels. However, I do machine wash all of my
personal, of Alistair's, of Louis and Tyrone's cashmere clothes (most of which,
as you may have guessed, are Stellina Baby items!). I simply use the delicates, hand wash setting on my washing
machine and I have never had any problems with it!
There are a few
measures to follow, but all in all it is the simplest thing ever! I use a
delicates/wool washing liquid, ensure the temperature is the lowest possible (never
ever wash your cashmere at more than 40 degrees, ideally it should be washed at
less) and do not use biological detergents.
I turn the
garments inside out before washing them (for extra protection) and off I go! When washed, I smooth
the cashmere garments gently back into their original shape and I place them on
a towel and let them dry naturally, away from radiators or strong sunlight. The thing I never
do is to hang cashmere on a line to dry it as this will stretch your garment
out. When dry, I gently press the garment with a cool iron to remove any
creases and that is it!
Nothing scary
about it, it is pretty much the same procedure I use with any other washing I
do!
And if you lay
the clothes well on the towel, in the most instances, you won't even require
ironing!
Online Payments:
Please note that we are currently integrating Paypal 3D secure into our payment options on the site and you may experience intermittent outages when trying to use paypal. If this occurs please select the 'payment by cheque' option to process your order and we will arrange to contact you and process payment over the phone or alternatively send you a paypal invoice. We apologise in advance for the disruption, but we hope to have this up and running as soon as possible.
Until next time, Happy Stellina Baby shopping!
