July has come and gone and we are all set for a well deserved Summer Break!
Tyrone is in Italy with Nonno and Nonna and Louis is going to reach him mid August. The plan is to visit Caserta, to go to the seaside and have a relaxing family holiday!
And Stellinababy? Well, we will remain open for business as usual, ready for the launch of two new products.
The first one, Bacio, is a baby nest, complete with a little hood, contrast border, contrast side ties and little folding mitts. It is the ideal baby wrap for the colder months and is perfect to cover your baby during their first proper outings. Bacio is designed for use from newborn to three months.
It comes in one colourway - Flint with a Vanilla trim - and it is made in our best selling 100% Cashmere outer, 100% Cotton inner combination, for extra warmth and added protection against your newborn's skin.
The second new addition to our range is Confetto. This is a sleeping bag designed for children from 9-18 months. It is a sleeved long night dress with ties at the bottom (cleverly attached to the sides in order to hold them in place and avoid them getting tangled together), buttons at the back of the crew neck and contrast border on the neck and hem.
It is the perfect sleeping bag for your little ones when they are a bit older and keep kicking their blankets off while they sleep. Confetto comes in one colourway, Jasmine with Biscuit trim - once again in our 100% Cashmere outer, 100% Cotton inner combination.
THIS IS WHAT WE LOVE: Louis is a very active boy - he is constantly running around and even when he sleeps, he cannot stand still for any length of time. He did not like the traditional baby sleeping bags, as he found them a little restrictive. When we tried the Confetto, he slept well for the first time without getting too cold or too hot and enjoyed wearing it so much that he would fetch it for us when sleep time came!
WHY WE LOVE IT: Warm, snuggly and very practical - our Confetto is destined to be another best seller - a friend even bought one as a Christening gown!!!
SOME IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT SLEEPING BAGS: As every parent will know, a baby sleeping bag is a much safer choice if compared to using blankets and sheets for a little one, as babies tend to slip inside their blankets and can get tangled into them.
As in Louis's case, they are ideal for very active babies, as they cannot be kicked off whilst the baby sleeps and therefore wake him/her up in the middle of the night because they are cold! Louis now knows that if he has to wear his sleeping bag, it is nanna (sleep) time!
What is great about our range of Stellina Baby sleeping bags is that they are entirely made of natural fibers, they have no fillings of any kind and they are designed to keep your babies warm and snugly at night, without overheating them.
Of course, when wearing a sleeping bag, your baby should just wear a plain cotton short sleeved body suit underneath - and common sense must always prevail.
The most important thing to know is something everyone knows, but I shall re-emphasize here, and it is to always check the temperature of the room where your baby sleeps and, most importantly, never to use a sleeping bag with a quilt or a cover - even if your baby's hands feel cold, they will be warm enough without any extra layering!
GIFT VOUCHERS. In order to make your gift buying easier, we are pleased to announce that you are now able to purchase gift vouchers on Stellinababy.com through Paypal. Simply click the button on the left hand panel of the site, just beneath 'Shop by Collections' and complete the form with all the relevant details - and your Stellina Baby Gift voucher will be on its way to you or even directly to a friend by specifying their email address!
With all this in mind, enjoy the Summer Holidays and, until next month, a warm goodbye!
