Celebrating Yoga Union's birthday means celebrating growth. As a five-year-old studio we have a long way to go, but our community's character is blossoming. Our character radiates a celebratory spirit, an infectious optimism, a zest for living. The face of this community is bright. Its glow warms the hearts of all who see it, like wonder in the face of a five-year-old, attuned to the magic of living. Together, we are affirming our place in the greater Portland community and in the larger global myriad of yogis. We hear ever more frequently from well-traveled yoga enthusiasts that Yoga Union is special for its radiance and spirit.  

Though our collective character may be young, our students are wise and mature, and have rich backgrounds in social service, world travel, art, relationship, and study in the depth and breadth of many disciplines. But the true spirit of our community depends on its individuals' collective tenacity to practice commitment to that which enlivens their spirits and nourishes their growth.
