Spartanburg Agencies Receive $240,000 through the Clemson Compassion Project

A grants ceremony was held in March to award $240,000 in grants to thirteen organizations serving the Spartanburg community.  These grants are part of The Clemson Compassion Project, which is a collaboration between The Spartanburg County Foundation and Clemson University's Institute on Family and Neighborhood Life.  This partnership seeks to strengthen the capacity of faith and community-based organizations to improve local conditions through a combination of training, technical support and grant-making.  Since 2004, The Spartanburg County Foundation has leveraged its grant dollars with funding from the US Department of Health and Human Services' Capital Compassion Fund to award more than $1,250,000 in grants and technical assistance through this project.
