FREE AND EASY WAY TO RAISE MONEY FOR HSOY
Help homeless pets every time you shop at 2,500+ online stores!

This is going to be the easiest thing we've ever asked you to do!

Over the last few years, HSOY has raised over $3,000 just from supporters doing what they'd normally be doing online: searching and shopping.

How we've been able to do that is with GoodShop.com and GoodSearch.com.

GoodShop.com works with more than 2,500 stores (including Target, Apple, Petsmart etc..) and every time you purchase something, a percentage will be donated to us to help Yuma's homeless pets. And if that's not enough,  GoodShop also offers over 100,000 of the most up-to-date coupons and free shipping offers so you can save money at the same time. It's win win.

 Goodshop

GoodSearch is a Yahoo powered search engine which makes a donation to us each time you do a search.

Install your GoodShop/GoodSearch toolbar right now on your Firefox or Internet Explorer browser here

While there isn't a toolbar available for Google Chrome, you can easily set GoodSearch as your default search provider by following the instructions at this link.

Refuse to install another toolbar? That's okay. Just be sure to link to the store of your choice from the GoodShop homepage before making the purchase.

KITTEN RESCUE
An unexpected Mother's Day gift

HSOY donors Marie McGee and Jeff Denman were driving down Arizona Avenue on Mother's Day 2011, when they spotted a tiny kitten running across the road.  Being animal lovers, they stopped to help the three to four week old kitten. They were amazed when they saw that it was completely blind from goop, dried fur, and mud covering its eyes.  One of the eyes was so hard and caked up they thought for sure that she had lost the eye.

Marie and Jeff's heart went out to this tiny little mass of fur and took her home.  They thought she looked like a baby Lynx, and so she was named.  They spent about two hours just soaking the mud and fur from her eyes and finally Lynx had both eyes open.

Lynx was so emaciated and covered with fleas that Marie and Jeff were afraid that she would not last another 24 hours. They treated the fleas and began feeding her kitten milk and soft food.  Lynx responded quickly and has grown into a beautiful little girl.

Today, Lynx is a healthy seven moth old kitten that has won the hearts of Marie and Jeff.  She is a vibrant playful kitten that is delighted to be in her forever home.

SENIOR PET
Chief

Chief

Here comes the Chief. Chief is the peppiest senior you've ever seen. Ten years and five months old, Chief was turned over to us last week because his previous owner was moving away for a while and couldn't afford to take care of him. So he's with us. He loves playing with tennis balls, kids and other dogs. He's housebroken, thinks he's a lap dog, is very smart, has the spunk of a pup and he will make someone a best friend. He's ready to come home with someone who will give him the great golden years he deserves. Adopt him today for $50.
SUCCESS STORY
A happy ending story

Happy ending

"Hey, I thought you guys might like a happy ending story... about a year ago my Mom and I adopted the cutest little puppy [Miles], who apparently bounced back and fourth between family and family. Now he has a happy home, and he always sleeps on my bed right on the pillows, so I have nowhere to sleep, lol. I love my Miles and would never give him up. :) "

FEATURED PET
Trixie
Trixie

Trixie, a two year old terrier mix with some possible sheltie in her, came to our shelter in late October as a feral cat. Well not exactly, she was caught in a cat trap by a local resident attempting to trap cats. We don't know how long Trixie had been on the streets but she was probably hungry and that can of cat food smelled pretty good. She was evidently someone's pet since we found out she had already been spayed when we took her down to our spay and neuter clinic. Since being at our shelter, she's been nothing but a gentle, loving dog who gives the sweetest kisses and enjoys laying on her pillow. Trixie waited for her owners for a week but since they haven't shown up she's ready to move on a find a new family to love her and keep tabs on her. Trixie is a love bug who'd be a great little friend for someone that enjoys relaxing, a little playtime, a daily walk around the block and maybe wouldn't mind sharing the bed with a cuddly, furry heating pad.
