URGENT WISHLIST NEED
We're scratching the bottom of our kitty litter supply.
Once again, we're running extremely low on kitty litter and that's a commodity that no cat deserves to be shorted.  We're asking for non-clumping kitty litter. Thank you so much.
NATIONAL FERAL CAT DAY
HSOY's Feline Friends have an amazing day

Well, it's official, National Feral Cat Day 2011 was a huge success.

Thanks to volunteers with Feline Friends, a member committee of HSOY, and HSOY clinic staff, nearly 100 feral cats were altered in a single day at our spay and neuter clinic.  Everything ran very smoothly and plans are already in the works to double the volume for next year.

FEDERAL EMPLOYEES AND MILITARY PERSONNEL
We need you to join the CFC
Uncle Sam

The Combined Federal Campaign of Arizona allows federal employees to sign up for payroll deductions to the participating charity of their choice. If you are or know of a federal employee or member of our armed forces, we urge you to join the CFC to support the Humane Society of Yuma's year round work of taking care of Yuma's homeless animals.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the CFC, which was created by an executive order issued by President Kennedy in 1961.  Today, the CFC is the world's largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, with more than 200 CFC campaigns throughout the country and internationally. Pledges made by federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season (September 1st to December 15th) support eligible non-profit organizations throughout the world.
Speak with your payroll officer or H.R. Department today and tell that the Humane Society of Yuma (Code #47992) sent you!

FEATURED PET
Banner
Banner

This is one adorable little pup! Banner is a three month old terrier- mix, who has been staying with us since October, 8th. He was rescued off the streets of Yuma, AZ; no collar, no tags, and no family has ever came looking for this little fellow. Banner is a great boy and is such a love bug, he loves being close to people and he is very playful. Keep in mind that Banner is just a puppy so he's going to need all the basic trainings on how to grow into a well behaved little gentlemen of a dog. This would include puppy potty training, the do's and do not's on what to chew and what not to chew, how to walk on a leash, and the best of all how to give and get Love and be part of a family. Banner only weighs about 3.9 pound right now and looks like he may stay on the small side, he has been neutered, micro chipped, has his first series puppy shots and also has received his rabies vaccination. So the only thing left is to find Banner his new family and his fur-ever loving home, so stop by and adopt this cutie today.
FEATURED PET
Morgan
Morgan

This beautiful girl is Morgan, she is a chihuahua and cute as a button! Morgan is about one to two years old and has the sweetest personality. When you snuggle with her she just loves giving kisses. Morgan originally came in on September 6th as a stray girl picked up by a caring citizen of Yuma. Here she sat waiting for a family that never showed up. Then October 12th was her "lucky day", she wasadopted....only to be brought back two days later for digging out of the yard and become a fugitive. Morgan, like many here, were strays and it does take them a while sometimes to adjust to a new home and family. " So, to help Morgan's second time around a charm, we have made her one of our Lonely Hearts Club Members. These are animals that have been with us for quite some time and we really want to see them adopted. Morgan is just a doll and her adoption fee has been lowered to only $55.00.
