Stand by for an important announcement:  HSOY needs sponsors for new radio show
The pets and people of HSOY are going on air to spread the word about what we're doing in the community and to answer any pet-related questions you may have. The show will air every other Saturday from 11am to noon on KBLU 560AM starting Saturday, July 18.

To get this show on the air, we are offering $50 radio sponsorships. Each $50 sponsorship will receive a 30 second slice of air time for you to speak directly to our supporters, whether it's a birthday greeting or an ad your business has been running for years. It's your time.  Each program will contain three breaks, each three minutes in duration.  So we encourage multiple sponsorships!

Cindy the German shepherd
Cindy
German shepherds are beautiful animals and Cindy really does show it with her happy, smiling face! Can you believe Cindy was a stray? Well, she was. She was rescued by one of our spectacular animal control officers, Lisa Nelson. Cindy was wandering around the busy curve on Giss Parkway just east of the 1-8 over pass. Lucky for Cindy, she was picked up in time and is now safe. WeBut the sad thing is no family has ever come in looking for her. So here Cindy waits patiently, like the lovely lady she is, for a new family to take her home and love her forever. German shepherds are amazing creatures: They are courageous, keen, alert, fearless, cheerful, obedient, and extremely faithful. Cindy is all the above and more. She is just over a year or two so she has a long life ahead of her. Hopefully we can find her a home soon so she can start enjoying her life outside of our shelter. Adopt a shepherd today, they make excellent companions!

Angel of the Siamese variety

Angel

This gorgeous, blue-eyed sweetheart is Angel. Angel is a beautiful who's just over one year old and is part of the Siamese subspecies (although they like to think of themselves as their own species). Angel is a frost point or lilac point, as their called in Britain, and she is definitely a love bug. Did you know that there are many types of color patterns to the Siamese family of cats? The neat thing is we have quite a few on our adoption floor in all shapes and sizes from your handsome seal point snowshoe Siamese to your lynx color point and we even have an apricot or flame point too! So stop by HSOY- Save a life and adopt a Siamese cat or kitten today!

We are Siamese if you please. We are Siamese if you don't please.
