Help us spread our message across the community and show your business' support with a newsletter sponsorship
Help us inform the community of all the services we offer that benefit all of Yuma's pets with a newsletter sponsorship.
Your $75, $140 or $200 sponsorship will make HSOY's best newsletter yet possible. What better way to show the community that your business supports the Humane Society of Yuma? 5,000 copies will be printed - around 3,000 of which will be mailed to recent adopters and donors - the remaining 2,000 will be distributed around the community through various means.

Help HSOY win $20,000 in pet supplies just by "liking" a page and casting a vote. No catch, no gimmick
We asked our Facebook followers to nominate us for a $70,000 pet supplies contest by liking Dr. Marty Becker's Facebook page and posting their nomination on his wall.
The contest received more than 13,000 nominations, and 50 finalists have been selected at random from among them, and will go on to the voting round. And, HSOY was one of the 50! Please vote for us by following this link, liking Dr. Marty Becker's page and then voting for us (#27).
As part of the BIG Bus Tour celebrating the release of Your Dog: The Owner's Manual, Dr. Marty Becker is giving away pet care products, supplies and equipment valued at more than $70,000 to shelters and rescue groups across the country, all donated by leading pet and veterinary product manufacturers.

Looks like "Be Humane" beach towels will be all the rage this summer!
Last week we asked you to vote for the one of four potential Be Humane products you think we should offer next; a beach towel, a cloth baseball cap with the Be Humane logo, a cloth baseball cap with the Be Humane paw print, a Be Humane pink tank top.
The votes have been counted and the Be Humane beach towel was the winner. You can be sure that we'll let you know as soon as they are available.

Firecracker gets snazzy.
Firecracker came in as a stray. He was pretty roughed up and matted when he came to us but was groomed last week by Sherri Helm of Waggin West Grooming and Boarding. It took her over four hours. Hes now neutered, his shoulder wound is stitched, on antibiotics and available for adoption.

HSOY starts "Adopt a Cat Month" early

The Humane Society of Yuma, along with American Humane Association and hundreds of shelters across the nation, recognizes June as Adopt-a-Cat month. June is the height of kitten season, a time of year when warm weather coincides with female cats' heat cycles to create a kitten population explosion.
Every June for the past several years, the Humane Society of Yuma has celebrated Adopt-a-Cat month with a special promotion that offers two cat adoptions for the price of one. This year, however, the Humane Society of Yuma has decided to begin celebrating early due to an influx of both kittens and adult cats.
Beginning immediately, cat lovers can adopt two cats for the price of one. Additionally, single cat adoptions are 50% off. This offer is good at both the PetSmart adoption center.
