Attention Federal Employees and Military Personnel
If you are employed by the federal government or a member of the military, you can give Yuma's pets in need a gift this week that will keep giving all through 2011. With the Arizona Combined Federal Campaign, you can donate directly to the Humane Society of Yuma with an automatic payroll deduction.
But time is running out. The deadline to sign up for the AZCFC is December 15th. So please speak with your HR Department or Payroll Officer today.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Our shelter has been the beneficiary of much goodwill and generosity the last couple of weeks. We cannot possibly thank all the individuals and organizations who are deserving of thanks and offer our preemptive apologies to those whose recognition is passed over. Your generosity is truly appreciated by Yuma's needy pets that find their way into our shelter.

"Wild Bill" Conley and the Nostalgia Car Club

"Wild Bill" Conley of the Nostalgia Car Club stopped by recently to drop off a bunch of items on our wish list. But Bill's and the car club's generosity goes far beyond the holiday season. Every month, the Nostalgia Car Club has been donating items from our Wish List. The Humane Society of Yuma would like to recognize them for their continued support.

Thanks to the law office of Shadle and Walsma
The Shadle and Walsma Law Firm, 833 East Plaza Circle Suite 200, has a donation drop off box at their office where they collect wish list items. They recently delivered a load of such items (pictured here with our visibly appreciative Director of Development Erin Sitera). Thank you!

Snowman is an adorable little Chihuahua. He's between one to two years old and cute as a button! He He was turned over to us the day after Thanksgiving by a citizen who found him running in and out of Black Friday traffic. Snowman is one lucky dog but, unfortunately, no one ever came to pick him up so we are going to do our best and find this little guy a home for the holidays. Snowman is not your average Chihuahua. He's a quite mellow, easy-going fellow. He loves to rollover and have his belly rubbed, and weighing in at a whole twelve lbs., he would make a great traveling partner. So save a life and adopt a "Snowman" today! He's waiting for his wish to come true!
Thanks to Chrissy Love McCain who, via Facebook, decorated Snowman's photo in the spirit of the season!
